This marvelous monument was a gift from the General Electric Company in 1929 on the 50th anniversary of the invention of the incandescent light bulb and in honor of the 75th anniversary of the founding of Atlantic City. Located in Brighton Park, Atlantic City NJ, "The Fountain of Light" turned into an important part of Atlantic City's past, present and future. By 1978 the fountain was turned into a planter and casinos had just come to town. In 1984 Thomas Byrd, a very young plumber at the time, decided to resurrect the Fountain to its original stature. Many said "It couldn't be done", but you can see differently. The Fountain ran for the next 23 years under Thomas Byrd's maintenance program. In 2007 the CRDA allocated moneys to rebuild the Fountain to its original splendor with modern technology. The company still maintains "The Fountain of Light" to this day.
As you can see from these videos we work on a variety of commercial plumbing issues. We take you through some of the work involved in this process all the way to the finished product. We show work on water lines, sewer lines and a variety of commercial issues.
Here is a video of a well. We look forward to adding more videos soon.
Here you will see videos of machines used in Forestry Management. It's great to watch the power and ability of these machines.
Watch these videos and see what we can do with our land clearing machines. We can clear the lot and then level it. We hope you enjoy this look at some of what we do.
This is the Byrd Bros Cedar Swamp Video Album. Inside you will see machinery in action cutting and logging a Cedar forest. In one video you will see one of the machines that went down in the Cedar bog. You will then see the work it took to remove the machine. The Cedar Swamp is reforested with trees when sections are complete. Byrd Bros has planted 4,000 Cedar trees this year alone on another tract of land in Egg Harbor Township. The trees are all purchased from the State of New Jersey for these types of programs. We also build and maintain the NJ Audubon Society bird sanctuaries in which Schairer Brothers has just started building Cedar bird houses. Feel free to explore the videos inside the album and send us your comments.
